The group focus is on supporting each other in professional and "personal development" within the respective fields of modeling, makeup and photography. Many people view modeling from the outside, glitzy, sexy glamor aspect. We see modeling as a path to greater self esteem with benefits overflowing into your personal and current professional life. (WE ARE SUSPENDING ACCEPTANCE OF NEW PHOTOGRAPHERS UNTIL THE GROUP MATURES AND WE HAVE SUFFICIENT NUMBERS OF MODELS PARTICIPATING AT EACH EVENT) Photographers who join or attend should bring to the meetings a portfolio of their prior photographic work as evidence of their "serious intent" to develop their artistic skills as well as add value to the models and makeup artists for whom this group was intended. If photography is "just a hobby" and you just want to take some pictures of sexy girls to show your friends, then this is group is probably not a good fit for you. If you are looking for nude photography, there are other Meetups for those purposes. Anyone under the age of 18 absolutely MUST have a parent or legal guardian present at all times. Because we care about you, there are NO EXCEPTIONS.

Austin Models & Makeup Artists Group June Meeting
Our next Meetup will cover posing with focus on the "C" and "S" curves of the body, how to create the most flattering look, recommended positions for the hands and feet.
The second half of our meeting will be devoted to using what we learn as we have the models photographed.
We will have our Makeup Artist, Saki, with us to do makeup.
